My lifelong aspiration is to make a difference in our community. I came to financial planning after a lengthy career working for major corporations as a management consultant, strategic planner and product management professional. A point came when I needed to see the impact of my efforts on the lives of individuals more directly.
I was extremely fortunate to discover a financial planning career. It takes advantage of all that I have learned in my career and allows me to make a difference in a very direct and meaningful way. I care deeply for each of my clients and feel an enormous responsibility to help them create a path to the future that helps them pursue their goals. This enriches my life as much as it does those whom I serve.
I am so excited about this field that I volunteer my time to educate as many as I can. I volunteer for the Financial Planning Days in Oakland, providing free education to the community. I also volunteer within my profession as a committee member for the annual Financial Planning Association NorCal Conference. I was the Conference Chair in 2012. For 4 years I was the East Bay chapter co-director for the Foundation for Personal Financial Education, through which employees learned about personal finance in their workplace.
I am a third generation Californian. My great grandfather came here in the Gold Rush! California will always be home. My educational background includes a Masters' in Public Administration and a Masters' in Business Administration. Additionally, I have completed all the coursework for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP(R)) program. I have worked in five industries as a management consultant.
Outside work I enjoy music of many varieties, walking in the wilderness, travel and raising dogs.
